2018 Family Reserve Syrah

A combination of Amador and El Dorado County fruit brought together in an attempt to capture the greatness of Sierra Foothills Syrah.  80% of this Reserve Syrah came from old vine, own rooted Syrah grown organically at Cedarville Vineyards up the road in the Fairplay AVA.  The other 20% comes from the well-established Karmère Vineyard from which we have been sourcing Syrah fruit for over a decade.  It is a mouthful, awakening every part of your palate. Fruit flavors of juicy dark berries and plum swirl while pops of black pepper, smoked meat, leather and cigar box shine through.  Light notes of toasted oak and cotton candy linger on the finish.
